IBA is delighted to announce the inception of its newest project, an annual publication, to include essays and studies with the purpose of sharing the complexity of biennials, highlighting their evolving challenges and presenting the fundamental changes currently shaping the field around the world. The publication’s intended readership includes IBA members and peers, educators and students as well as individuals interested in contemporary art.

The project begins with a call for IBA members who would like to serve on the editorial board. If you are interested in serving on the editorial board for IBA’s first annual publication, please review the following details and responsibilities. Membership is required, so if you are interested but not yet an IBA member, apply now!

Editorial Board Responsibilities:

Develop the editorial plan and process
Map out topics and issues
Identify and recommend potential contributors
Provide content by writing occasional editorials/essays
Give feedback
Peer review of content
Endorse the publication to authors and readers
Contribute to the development of the next issues’ editorial calendar

*The editorial board will include four IBA members and should be representative of IBA, with members from all regions.
