Dear members,
This month’s IBA newsletter brings you the latest information to keep you up to date on biennial and triennial openings.
Participation grants are now available for IBA members from developing countries to attend the 3rd General Assembly. The grants are made possible by our host, La Triennale di Milano, and are for attendance to the General Assembly, which will take place in Milan, Italy from May 30 – June 2. Read on to find out more information and download the participation grant application form.
A new survey on IBA Member Partnerships is also included in this month’s newsletter, so be sure to take the survey and let us know what types of member partnerships may be of interest to you.
3rd General Assembly
IBA’s 3rd General Assembly takes place next month, from May 30 – June 2 in Milan, Italy, hosted by La Triennale di Milano. Invitations will go out shortly. Please RSVP by sending a brief email to the IBA Office. We look forward to seeing you there!

IBA’s 3rd General Assembly is co-organized by IBA in collaboration with our host, La Triennale di Milano.
The 3rd General Assembly will also see a Board Meeting, Working Committee meetings and a Public Conference.
Participation Grant Application for 3rd General Assembly
With many thanks to our host, La Triennale di Milano, 20 participation grants, at €1000 each, are available to IBA Members from developing countries.
IBA Members from developing countries who wish to apply for a participation grant must download the application and email their materials to the IBA Office no later than April 12. The voting committee will then review all applications, and all applicants will be notified of their result by April 18.

IBA Partnerships Survey
One of the best ways to engage with other IBA members is through partnerships, co-commissions and co-productions. As many IBA members have expressed interest in developing partnerships, we have created a survey to further define these areas of interest. We also aim to connect members with similar partnership interests.
Through open discussion and the exchange of ideas in the Programming Committee, this survey was developed by Woodrow Kernohan, Director of EVA International and IBA Institutional Member. It is supported by the IBA Office.

Other IBA Meetings
Editorial Board Meetings for 1st Annual Publication
The editorial board will continue its meetings this month as they contract with writers and develop the design of the publication. The board will meet on April 13. Additionally, the design is expected to be finalized in May and will be shared with members at the IBA General Assembly on the morning of May 31.
Programming Committee Meeting
A Programming Committee meeting will be scheduled for this month, prior to the General Assembly, and will take place via video conference. Please continue to watch the IBA website for details.
Other Upcoming Events
The annual conference of the Association of Art Historians will be held in Edinburgh, Scotland early this month. An academic panel will be dedicated to biennials, with IBA members Christian Oxenius and Kate Brehme among the speakers.
