1 September 2023Dear Subscriber,
We are officially just about a month away from our 10th General Assembly that will take place in São Paulo, co-hosted by Fundação Bienal de São Paulo and set to take place around the opening week of the 35th Bienal de São Paulo. If you plan to go and have not RSVPed to the event yet, please do so in order to ensure that your attendance is accounted for.
To prepare for this year’s assembly, we are asking all of our members to come together to attend and provide their thoughts and feedback for our special IBA Conversations series titled Drafting Guidelines. We have one meeting left before the 10th General Assembly and hope to be able to present the materials we have prepared during these sessions during our in-person Focus Groups that will take place in São Paulo. We also ask all members who have not yet completed our Drafting Guidelines Survey to do so before August 16th so that we may gain a better understanding of different biennials around the world.
This month’s session of IBA Stage will feature a presentation from organizers from the 4th Autostrada Biennale, who we had the privilege of meeting last year during our 9th General Assembly. To learn more about this online event while having the chance to explore more of this biennial, please be sure to register using the information provided below.
Whether you are a current member of IBA or an active and engaged individual who is part of the global biennial network, we hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.
